Hi everyone!

Just to let you know that I am redesigning Lego!fusker a little, updating some of the content and generally tidying the site up a bit.

Please bear with me while this happens.

Squirrel-free zone. And a podcast too.

This morning was my first transect walk of the woods for the red squirrel survey. And I saw... one blue tit, and that was all. There was nothing there moving around at all, although there was quite a bit of birdsong. I had the eerie feeling of being in a Kit-Kat advert, the one with the rollerskating panda.

I'll be doing it a few more times over the next week, and I hope I see some squirrels - something to make it seem less like a waste of time.

I was also at the Loch of the Lowes this morning to help out at the visitor centre. It was also very quiet, only a few garden birds were around at the feeders, and there were only ducks on the loch. Not surprised as there was still ice on the loch as well.

And my podcast is up. The next one is scheduled for the 31st March 2011. Not exactly sure what I'll talk about. I lean towards magnetospheres.

The 365 Days of Astronomy podcast on the 24th February 2011 is going to be "A Journey to the Centre of the Sun", and it's by me.

The links to that podcast, as well as more information are here.

SIte Notes and Origins

Hello and welcome to the Lego-fusker website, the website of L Cate Kendal.

As you may have noticed, there is not much here, as I'm in the process of changing websites. But I hope to get it all together soon. In the mean time, there will be regulr changes, and I hope regular updates as well.

Origins -

According to that standard repository of all wisdom and knowledge, Wikipedia,  "Fusker is a type of website or utility that extracts images from a web page".

This website has nothing to do with that.

In fact, it's named after the (ex) cat of James May's from Top Gear. In August 2009, I made a lego model of his cat and sent it down to the Lego House for his TV program "James May's Toy Stories" . Sadly, someone nicked before it could come home. So it became the name of my website instead.
